Ireland

Be prepared for the weather when in Ireland! The country meets up to its moniker “The Emerald Isle” with some of the highest rainfall in Europe resulting in a rich and verdant landscape. The west coast of the country is also experiences high winds on a par with Scotland and Norway. Summer days are long and snow often falls in mountainous areas in the winter. The gentle coastlines of east part of the Ireland contrast with the rugged west coast which have some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

There are endless photo opportunities in Ireland especially rewarding is the Atlantic coastline of the “West Atlantic Way” and the myriad of historical remains of castles, Neolithic sites, monasteries and abbeys.

The ever changing light and dramatic seas are certainly things to capture. Just make sure your tripod is secure in the wind!
